Ctrip robbery

I booked a ticket lhasa beijing with wrong passport information. I had to cancel the ticket to rebook a new one with correct information. It happens ( nobody told me or it was not mentionned in the reservation) that for lhasa beijing you cannot cancel online. Then ctrip assistance sent me twice to railway station to cancel ( in chengdu and in lhasa), and there it was impossible to cancel the ticket because wrong passport number. It was not written anywhere that tickets were not refundable in case of a mispeelling. Ctrip assistance ( sanya ext. 825936) sent me twice to railway station and even talked to station officer without making my refund possible. So i had to pay twice for one ticket and nowhere it was written it is not refundable! It s a robbery

Invalid train tickets

I bought my ticket online, they had 2 business class tickets available.... from Qu *** to Beijing.... unfortunately after buying the train tickets for 2 I cancelled my air ticket that I bought the previous week because the train ticket was more convenient. Please note that hotel was 3 hours away from train station in the middle of nowhere, so you know mentally I am REALLY prepared to leave and during autumn season there is hardly any availability.... I get there to pick my tickets an hour and a half before departure and they told me that my ticket was not valid.... I thought I was about to die..... I was LIVID‼️‼️‼️ I called them only for them to tell me that my ticket was cancelled.... just casually.... in the middle of nowhere with tickets sold out.... what really got me was their lack of concern.... they sold me tickets that did not exist and informed me that they already processed my refund..... but that is the least of my problems...... I am stuck In the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE WITH NO WAY TO GET OUT. I was so ready for some level of civilization.... I was heart broken ... the lady at the train station was not helpful either she was very dismissive. At the end of the day, I got on the 5:40pm train out to Beijing and the rest is history... but it could have been really bad.... and they didn't care.... they didn't even think to call???? They claimed they sent an email .... everyone knows that in China no one receives email on google .... a simple call would have helped..... PLEASE DONT BUY TICKETS FROM CTRIP.... YOU WILL BE STRANDED‼️‼️‼️

CTRIP SCAM

Access Ctrip English, Hong Kong & China websites add the same identical destination, dates, times, airline etc.. on all three websites and be amazed with the prices differences. If you choose the English version, you are going to pay 15-25% more than the Chinese version. I you choose the Hong Kong version, you are going to pay 10-20% more than the Chinese version. Conclusion: Learn Chinese and get a better deal, otherwise spread the word and boycott this company.

I just lost a big amount of money, by trying to book tickets at Ctrip, I one the worst travel agency with bad intentions still doing the same intentional mistake after calling them Ctrip is doing scam, by taking our card details and declined ticket, please do not book ticket at Ctrip, you might loose thousands of bucks {{Redacted}}

Yes, compare domestic Chinese fares on ctrip against the airline website fare. Ctrip is often about 50 RMB more expensive.

Lack of good service, misleading information.

I booked a flight to London from Hangzhou but, needed it changed to a week earlier, I contacted Ctrip and was told that it's the airline policy that tickets cannot be modified or changed but if I contact the airline company and they agree to change it, they will change it. I ring Cathay Pacific in London only to be told that i ve been misinformed and that Ctrip need to be the one to modifiy my flight. So again I ring Ctrip, they tell me okay they will pass it on to another team who can check flights for me and ring me back. They finally managed to find a flight for on the 27th of June which costs 2000 rmb less than my original ticket, then had the nerve to tell me there's a fee of 1, 500 rmb despite this and that the airline have only given me 40 minutes to confirm my flight baring in mind, they rang me at 10:20 pm. I agree to pay only to be told that they only accept credit cards and without it they will not change my flight as they wont accept any other form of payment. I was very frustrated at this point and asked to speak to a manager, which i was told that he was not available and that there's nothing they can do and the line cut. Ctrip did not bother to ring back so, I rang their customer service team and was funnily enough put through to a manager, who preceded to tell me that she is not sure that her stuff would tell me that i can call the airline company and if they agree I can change my flight. She then implied that i must have misunderstood the conversation. This was very rude on her behalf as a manager, however I made it clear to her to not make me out to be a liar and at no point did she express any sympathy or apology. I made it clear to her that i do not care about that conversation, but why has the stuff left it last minute to tell me that there will be a fee to change flights and it can only be paid by credit card. She rings the team to discuss what happened and simply tells me that, there is nothing wrong with their procedures and the payment of credit card can be told by customers at any point they want. No resolution from the so called line manager, appalled by the lack of customer service. Even though, they are actually making more money if they change my flight to Tuesday as it's cheaper. These people clearly need to be sent abroad to receive training on how to deal with customer complaints!! Will never be using Ctrip again, absolutely terrible company, who have no regards for their customers. A desirable solution would be for them have changed my flight without a fee since it's not my fault that I do not own a credit card in China, I only have a chinese bank card and UK debit card or for them to have atleast refunded me enough to purchase the ticket on Tuesday the 27th which cost 4, 000 rmb, when I paid 6236rmb.- 409122****

Canceled my booking and leave me on the street.

I was traveling to Qingdao (China). Booked a room for 15$. Get confirmation that everything is OK. Arrived to hotel next day. They say I can`t stay there. I Call to support. They say that it`s a website`s mistake. They found only another one hotel for me, but it costs about 50$. So I should pay more for this room and take a taxi to get there, as well. Talking about 15 min with manager. Manager : It`s all we can do for you. Me: Give my money back. I dont`t want to have any deals with you anymore. Manager: Ok. We will make a refund. Me: Thx. Manager: Ok. I’m glad that we solved your problem. Alone in unknown city. Don`t speak chinese. Sun goes down. Have no place to stay. «I’m glad that we solved your problem.»!!!

CTRIP terrible customer service

it's like pulling teeth to get any helpful information from ctrip's customer service. it seems like they just want to dismiss your request to get you off their back. most have no understanding of what "customer service" is all about. minimal effort is made to help resolve simple issues, a simple "can't be done" without even looking into the issue. if ask to speak to a suporvisor, the answer is always " no supervisor available." there are many other choices available in the market for booking hotels and flights. i'll avoid ctrip in the future and would not recommend this company to anyone until they can provide viable "customer service"

Hotel booking guarantee scam

I booked a hotel using CTrip in HongKong about three weeks in advance. Deal was to pay at hotel desk after stay (I especially choose that as the prepay options even being cheaper do not work as they all require AliPay or similar services I being a foreigner cannot use). Credit card guarantee was needed (not usual but sometimes like that also on other booking sites). HOWEVER what CTrip labels as guarantee is a hidden prepay scam. Because on my credit card a payment, not reservation for the whole amount immediately was taken. And of course not in the foreign currency amount but at a generous exchange rate. Several calls and emails revealed that this is their standard policy for bookings more than 21 days in advance. But it is not disclosed on the website during the booking process, it is called quite normally and misleading a credit card guarantee. Now I was assured the money would be refunded up to 3 months after I had staid and paid at the hotel or not in case of a no show. Well they paid me back something over a months later but far less than what was originally taken as reserved guarantee due to some undisclosed fees and currency exchange tricks in their favour. All in all the money I lost accounted to about a full night stay (extra 20% cost to me) at the hotel on top of the price that was agreed upon in the confirmed reservation. CTrip told me that is standard policy for them and somewhere hidden in the fineprint (I never saw this nor was it in the booking confirmation nor to my knowwledge is any other hotel booking site using this scam). It mainly affects internationjal hotel bookings according to my research. I would recommend everybody to be aware of this and use international sites that are not using such scandalous scams ) but be aware CTrip is buying some of those companies at the moment so they may distribute their best practice. I personally will not use CTrip again. I am a 15 year platinum customer of them and customer service was always an issue but such a scam is unacceptable to me.

This is My Story with ctrip.com

To All Users of Ctrip; please be aware that when you are booking tickets, hotels and trains that you check your dates for your reservations. This is my story, and it is true! I booked a hotel room through Ctrip for the 27th through the 30th of January, 2017. After checking my dates, I submitted my request. When I received my confirmation back, I noticed the dates had changed to the 24th through the 25th - not the dates I submitted. Since the date was wrong, I called Ctrip's Customer service to let them know, and all I get is that they cannot change the dates for that is the date that I submitted. So, I go back into their system thinking I had made the mistake. When I rebooked multiple times, I sent the following email to Ctrip to show them what was happening. They continue to insist that the problem is mine. The following email was copied and pasted from their system and sent to them, but they refuse to listen to reason even after I showed them and even put in a reservation for another hotel that did go through. All I was asking Ctrip was for some consideration, but their response is that the fault is mine. I am asking that those who read this to forward it until Ctrip sees that they either have a problems with their system, or to take responsibility. Thank you, Sincerely, Marvin D. Same thing has happened to me.

Booked harbour Grand 26th till 3th April and they sent a confirmation saying 22nd till 26th April.

I emailed them within 32 minutes and they say they cannot refund because of the special deal.

Ctrip Room Booking Review

I have used ctrip for many of my trips but this is my worst experience so far. I booked a hotel that says it will be confirmed in 11hours, so I waited, it has been 2 days now and still no confirmation and my card has been charged. I talked to their customer service rep Celine and was told to wait longer and that if I cancel this UNCONFIRMED booking it will take 2 weeks to process refund!
